How to set up comment-to-DM

The Instagram API only works with Business or Creator accounts. In the Instagram app go to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account. It is free and you can switch back.

Create a Capsflowlab account and choose Connect Instagram. You log in on instagram.com and approve access to your profile and media, comments and messages. Capsflowlab never receives your password.

Choose the Reel you will promote. Use one short, unusual keyword that people will not type by accident, such as GUIDE or LINK, and add common variants (lowercase, Hinglish spellings).

• Say thanks and name what they asked for.
• Put the link on a button so it is easy to tap.
• Keep it short; long messages get skimmed.
• Optionally turn on follow-gate to grow followers.

Tell viewers exactly what to do, on screen and in the caption: “Comment GUIDE and I’ll DM you the link.” Pin a comment with the same instruction.

Comment the keyword from a different account, then check Activity in Capsflowlab. Each attempt shows the result Instagram returned. Remember Instagram allows one private reply per comment, within 7 days.
